Zonin Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Red Wine 750ml
64,43 €
A prestigious Italian red wine from Valpolicella made with semi-dried grapes using the traditional appassimento method, aged in Slavonian oak for exceptional depth and complexity.
Description
Zonin’s Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG is a majestic Veronese wine crafted from grapes that undergo appassimento—a classic partial drying process lasting approximately 120 days. The blend of 60% Corvina, 35% Rondinella, and 5% Molinara grapes is fermented slowly over four to six weeks, then aged for two years in 30-hectoliter Slavonian oak barrels. The wine displays a stunning garnet-red colour with brilliant ruby reflections and presents a nuanced bouquet of wild berries with richly fruity, dried grape tones. With its soft palate, velvety tannins, and long lingering finish, this wine pairs beautifully with refined dishes, prime cuts of meat, and very mature cheeses.
